As has been earlier stated the vision for the Airport has been formulated by DIAL to serve as the guideline for the designing engineers & architects. The vision is to build, operate & manage the airport with emphasis on:

Modern development & expansion of airport infrastructure (on both the airside & landside) to meet growing demandAirport Management by creating efficient airport management systems to provide quality airport services.
To carry out activities in connection with the handling of aircraft, passengers, baggage & cargo &/ or including but not limited to the fuel farm activities, at the Airport & to ensure the free choice of qualified suppliers for the competitive supply of ATF to the Air Carriers at the Airport on open access basis.

  • The Fuel Farm Concessionaire was to undertake finance, design, development, construction & transfer of the Facility &, acting as Operator undertake the operation, management & maintenance of the Facility, in order to ensure the development of the most fit for purpose & cost effective Facility & provision of Services in line with internationally accepted Good Industry Practices, & Airport Service Quality requirements applicable to DIAL under OMDA & Applicable Laws.
  • To ensure that the Facility shall be developed & operated so as to enable all eligible & interested aviation fuel suppliers to have access to & use of the Facility without discrimination on an “Open Access” basis.
